University of Washington’s Master of Science in Applied Chemical Science & Technology program welcomed its first cohort in September 2020. The program was created to meet a growing need for professionals with advanced, hands-on training in quantitative chemical analysis and informatics.

The program is offered by the UW Department of Chemistry, a state-of-the-art center of graduate education and research in chemistry, with 40 nationally and internationally recognized faculty.

A self-sustaining, fee-based degree, the Master of Science in Applied Chemical Science & Technology is administered in partnership with UW Continuum College, which extends the reach of the UW with a range of online and on-campus programs for working professionals and other learners of all ages.
